Houseplants rely on us to supply nutrients needed through the application of fertilizers.
Under-fertilized houseplants often show symptoms of slow growth, weak stems, pale leaves and reduced flowering.
Every plant is different, but most of the plants need to be fertilized from spring through summer, usually once a month.
Wait for a month or longer before fertilizing newly purchased or freshly repotted plants.
Plant’s soil mix already contains fertilizer and before we add more we need to give plants the time to acclimate to their new pot and home.
